It was never a quality problem. Australia's machinists, fabricators and prototype shops are world-class. They're just hard to find: they don't rank on Google, they don't market themselves, and they win work the way they always have, by word of mouth. Good capacity goes unused while good jobs go offshore.
The Manufacturing Platform closes that gap. Not with a complicated marketplace or a transaction layer skimming the job — just a clean, fast, honest way to find the right manufacturer, see their real equipment and work, and reach them directly.

Built by two technicians who lived the problem
Travis and Darcy met more than ten years ago, both working as field technicians. The job took them onto factory floors and into workshops right across the country. Over the years, each of them kept hearing the same thing.
A customer would pull them aside: "Do you know anyone who could do this job?" Again and again, businesses had work that needed doing and no idea who could do it. There was almost always a capable manufacturer in the next suburb. Nobody knew they existed.
After a decade of watching that same gap go unsolved — buyers who couldn't find makers, and makers who stayed invisible — they built the tool they'd been improvising on the job for years.

"Platform" means The Manufacturing Platform website and any associated services.
"User" means any individual who accesses or creates an account, including Customers and Manufacturers.
"Manufacturer" means a business or individual who creates a listing to advertise manufacturing services.
"Inquiry" means a message or request for quotation submitted by a Customer to a Manufacturer.
These Terms apply to all Users. Use of the Platform constitutes acceptance in full.
- You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account.
- You must provide accurate information at registration and keep it up to date.
- Manufacturers must hold a valid Australian ABN.
- Manufacturers are responsible for the accuracy of their listing content.
- Posting false or misleading information.
- Submitting fake or retaliatory reviews.
- Scraping or bulk-downloading contact details.
- Harassment or impersonation of other users.
- Interfering with Platform security or infrastructure.

Privacy
Policy
- Account information — your name, email address, and password or sign-in credentials when you create an account.
- Business information — for Manufacturers: business name, ABN, location (suburb and state), services offered, business descriptions, logos and portfolio images you choose to upload.
- Inquiry content — messages and requests for quotation you send through the Platform.
- Usage data — pages visited, searches performed, and device/browser information collected automatically to operate and improve the Platform.
- To create and manage your account and, for Manufacturers, publish your business listing.
- To deliver inquiries between Customers and Manufacturers.
- To send service emails such as sign-in links, inquiry notifications and account updates.
- To monitor, moderate and improve Platform quality and safety.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your data is stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including encryption in transit and access controls. Some infrastructure providers may store data outside Australia; where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable privacy protections apply.
- Public listing content — business information a Manufacturer publishes in a listing is visible to all visitors. Personal account details are not.
- Service providers — we share data with providers who help us operate the Platform (hosting, email delivery, authentication), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information where required by Australian law or to protect the safety of users.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the Platform is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features (such as staying signed in) may not work without them.
- You may access and update your account information at any time via your account settings.
- You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to any legal retention requirements.
